Russia national football team coach shared his thoughts about the upcoming fixtures of World Cup 2022 qualifiers:
- When it comes to the fixtures, I think all teams share more or less equal conditions. We will closely examine our rivals and arrange preparations to all matches. The first away match is going to be a challenge in terms of logistics. That’s what we are going to focus at for now. We will travel to Malta, fly back home for a match against Slovenia and make an away trip to Slovakia. We will have to think through the preparations accordingly. Another thing is that the away match in Cyprus is scheduled for afternoon hours in September and it is going to be very hot. We are ending the qualifiers in Croatia. That is an important aspect as well because final matches are always special. In general, we do not have any positive or negative emotions about the schedule. We accept things as they are, especially that we did not participate in drawing up the schedule.
